EVALUATION

Through years of experience, Ford Thompson had determined that the scope of this undertaking involves three major elements:

  • Evaluating the attitude and understanding of all fund-raising activities.
  • Assessing the external environment that will impact your plans and results.
  • Determining  recommendations for immediate and future strategies and goals.

We begin the Evaluation by assessing your institution’s capacity to initiate and implement a total fund-raising program. Ten key areas will be reviewed: 

  • Leadership
  • Staff
  • Volunteers
  • Past results
  • Policies and procedures
  • Prospect research
  • Marketing materials
  • Solicitation techniques
  • Resources
  • Public relations

Once the current strengths and limitations within each area are understood , a strategy can be developed for maximizing a program’s strengths and for correcting its deficiencies.

At the conclusion of the Evaluation, we will present our findings to you, your administrative board, or other governing body to define the results of the Evaluation. A comprehensive written report will follow.
